Not to mention, lots of laughter and shenanigans.
Princess Fee welcomes you to an eclectic class of Egyptian bellydance, exploring the many bellydance props that are available to dancers. Each term will explore a different style, prop or theme for middle eastern dance lovers and is designed for students who have a basic grounding in bellydance movements (min 6 months). Beginners who like a challenge are welcome – but this isn’t a class for the Never-Danced-Before.
Egyptian Bellydance is the base foundation from whence all other fusion dance styles spring. It is a wonderful art form that will not only teach you elegance and grace, but also allows your body to move in a natural way, that is, the way your body is designed to move.
Some of the movements of Egyptian bellydance stem
from ancient times, when the natural movement of the
body was treasured, celebrated and enjoyed. As Carolena Nericcio from Fat Chance once famously said : "Once, long ago, the bounce and sway of a woman's hips was considered so beautiful that they set it to music." You have just forgotten how your body works. Rediscover it today.
Casual classes are available at $15 per class, but discounted term blocks are also available.
Keep an eye on my Facebook Page for upcoming term dates.
All Princess Fee Bellydance students are expected to become Members of Free Spirit Dance and Wellness Inc, to support our local not-for-profit team who provide the beautiful dance studio we use and a dazzling event calendar for enjoyment and performance opportunities for Princess Fee's Troupes.

BellySlink: Gothic Fusion Bellydance!
Wednesday nights @ 7.30 – 8.30pm
at the Wellness Space, 5/111 Medina Ave, Medina.
Monday nights 5pm - 6pm AWST on Zoom for rural,
regional and interstate dancers.
You will learn the 8 movements from one of the Goddess Series and a gooey dance vocabulary. This is an improvised style, where you will learn a vocab of moves, steps and combinations, all with a cue. Then, the Leader will cue a move, and the dancers all follow that step. No choreographies to remember and every performance is unique. In a framework of safe dance practice, warm-ups, stretching and cool-downs, we'll be covering technique from the 4 movement families and how they can be overlaid to create a darker, slinkier atmosphere. As we'll be refining and polishing, a good grounding in basic bellydance technique is highly recommended. This will develop your muscles and is particularly good for developing your core strength. By slowing down the movements, you lose the easy momentum of faster styles and have to work the muscles harder to get the same level of goo. This class is suitable for progressive to advanced students.
